Kia Ora and
welcome to Room 15 for 2014.
All information relating to
our class including homework tasks, newsletters, reminders, successes and much
more can be found on this website.
This week is
Week Five. This week we have
Goal Setting Conferences happening on Tuesday and Thursday. A reminder that
school finishes early on Tuesday and you will be allowed to go home at 1.25pm.
School finishes at the usual time on Thursday.
Please make
sure that you are Organised Learners and have all of the equipment that you
need for all of your learning at all times – this includes having your togs for
swimming.
I am still
waiting for some of you to return your SMP forms – these were due back at the
beginning of Week 3. Please return these as soon as possible. If you need
another form please let me know.
Immunisation
forms need to be returned as soon as possible. There are still some of you who
need to pay $7 for the Science Roadshow that is coming in Week 8. This was on
your Stationery list and is a compulsory part of our Science unit and is a
fantastic opportunity for all of you to participate in some hands on Science
experiments.
School photos are
next week so if you are wanting to purchase any photos you need to return the
photo envelope that you were given last week.
We are in
great need of families who would be willing to home host a Japanese student for
a couple of weeks. If you think that your family would like to enjoy a new
experience by having a male Japanese student stay with you please collect a
notice, or ring the school office, from the school office. All of the
information can be found in this notice.
PE &
ACTIVATE
This year our PE days are
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. For most of the first term this means swimming
and you are required to have your togs with you on these days. If for any
reason you are unable to swim you must have a note explaining why you are not
swimming and for how long you will not be swimming for and this note MUST signed
by your parents / caregivers.
As Term One goes on we will
be starting other PE lessons and you are required to wear your PE uniform for
these sessions. We will also be going out for Activate on Mondays and Thursdays,
which means that your PE uniform should be at school 5 days a week, every week!
HOMEWORK
Tasks are
given out on Mondays and are expected to be completed and handed in on Fridays.
You are expected to complete 30 minutes of homework EVERY night.
Your tasks are due
back by FRIDAY 7TH MARCH.
