Week 5

Kia Ora, Guten Tag and welcome to our blog for 2012 J
This is where you will be able to find your homework tasks, team newsletters, information about what is happening during the week and reflections on what we have been doing in class.
We are now in Week Five. This week we are continuing with our Chocolate Fundraiser. I was very impressed to see so many of you had sold a box in one night!!
This week we also have Goal Setting Conferences on Tuesday afternoon/evening and Thursday afternoon/night. I am looking forward to meeting your parents and helping you to set goals for the coming terms. I still have some spaces free if you would like to make an appointment, just email me or leave a message on my answer phone at school.
Our school swimming sports will be happening in a couple of weeks. Please be Organised Learners and make sure that you have your togs at school on the days we go swimming.
We are also looking after 4 monarch caterpillars who are well on their way to becoming butterflies.
I am still very impressed to see the amount of homework that was handed in on time. Way to go my Absolutely Fabulous Organised Learners!!!! J Keep up the great work and effort.
REMINDERS: $10 for your Spelling Under Scrutiny dictionary, a 10 or 20 page clearfile or pay your $1, SMP slips, newsletter slips, goal setting conference slips, homework is due this Friday.
A reminder for our returning Year 8’s to lead by example and make the most of all of the opportunities that Maeroa has to offer and for Year 7’s to experience as much as they can while they are at Maeroa.

PE and Activate
Our days for PE are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. For the first few weeks we will be swimming on these days so you will need to bring your togs. Remember if you are not swimming then you MUST bring a note explaining why you are not swimming and for how long you won’t be swimming for.
As well as swimming we will be doing Activate every day. The expectation is that you will need to bring your PE uniforms every day.
Homework
Homework is given out every week on a Monday and it is expected that homework is returned completed on Fridays. You are expected to complete around 30 minutes of homework every night.

HOMEWORK IS DUE IN ON FRIDAY 2ND MARCH.
