They will have an opportunity to visit with you in class as well. This week we are working on poetry, Athletics, a new team reading rotation, decimals and Geometry. We are now well under way with our end of year assessment tasks. I have been very pleased with the results – awesome work guys J

The forms for our trip to Mount Maunganui for Beach Education / Surf Lifesaving were handed out on Friday. Please make sure that all parts of your forms are filled out. You can start paying the $30 to the student mailbox. Your money needs to be paid by the Friday of Week 6, which is the 23rd November.

Our school Athletics Day is coming up. A newsletter will be coming out for those of you who will be representing Kauri Team later on this week. It will have the events you are participating in and what bus you will need to catch to and from Porritt Stadium.

CONGRATULATIONS to    for achieving their fastest time ever for Basic Facts test and to    for achieving their highest score for Basic Facts test!!!! Well done J

I was really impressed with the amount of people who regularly completed and handed in their homework last term. I’m looking forward to this effort continuing this term.

A reminder that you are meant to be spending 30 minutes each day completing your homework. Some of you are not meeting this expectation and if this continues there will be consequences. Be Organised Learners and earn yourselves positive consequences.

A reminder for our returning Year 8’s to lead by example and make the most of all of the opportunities that Maeroa has to offer and for Year 7’s to experience as much as they can while they are at Maeroa.

PE and Activate

Our days for PE are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and we will be doing Activate on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our expectation is that you will need to bring your PE uniforms every day. There will be consequences for those of you who choose to not meet this expectation.

Congratulations to those Organised Learners who always have their PE uniforms each time we have PE, your efforts are outstanding!

Homework

Homework is given out every week on a Monday and it is expected that homework is returned completed on Fridays. You are expected to complete around 30 minutes of homework every night.

HOMEWORK IS DUE IN ON FRIDAY 2ND  NOVEMBER.
