This week is
Week ONE. Welcome
back to Term Three! Can hardly believe where the year has gone!! This week we welcome Mr Thornley, a new
Deputy Principal to Maeroa Intermediate. Make sure you make Mr Thornley feel
welcome as you see him around the school.
I hope you
all had a relaxing holiday and are refreshed and ready for another term. Lots
happening this term and there are only 9 weeks. Oratory is our focus for the
first 3 weeks and we will also be starting our Sound / Communication Unit.
Jewel, Sage
and Tegan are going to Sports Camp in Week 6 and Brooke is heading to Japan in
Week 8. We have Specialised Programmes again this term in Week 7 and we will be
practising for Athletics towards the end of the term.
Lots of
Inter-Intermediate competitions are happening this term – Cross Country,
Badminton, Rugby, Netball and Basketball. Lots of other opportunities as well –
Chess competition, Kids for Kids concert, Drama and Orchestra /Band days,
Oratory finals and a team Maths competition as well as Incoming Students

I hope that
you are focused on achieving the goals you have set for the second half of the
year and know exactly what you need to do to meet your goals. Remember to make
the most of the opportunities given to you.
