This is Week Nine. This week we have a teacher only day on Friday. I hope you enjoy your long weekend and think of me at work doing a Maths course on Friday while you’re at home J Because it’s a short week your homework is due in on THURSDAY!
CLASSIC HITS RADIO STATION IS RUNNING A SCHOOL COMPETITION ON FRIDAY MORNING for our school and three other schools.
To win, all students have to do is call on 0800 00 2527 anytime between 7am-8.40am on Friday (Sept 14th) during our breakfast show (Bunty and Justine in the Morning on 98.6fm) and let us know what class they in at what school (each student / parent representing a student can call once). At 8.45am we will announce live on air what class at which school we had the most phone calls from and that class will win all 40 double passes (allowing all the students to attend with one guest).

Our trip to Taupo has been confirmed as $90 and you can now start paying for this. Remember to write your name, room number, what the money’s for and how much you are paying. A reminder that this trip is on Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th September – week 11. J
I am waiting for forms from NAVI, WILLIAM, CHRIS, DEVON, KRISTIAN, GREYSON, JOSH, SAMSON, JEWEL, PAIGE AND FLORENCE. These forms were due to me today (Monday). We need those forms in as soon as possible so that we can confirm the menu and get Medical supplies organised.
I would like to see more homework books being handed in on Fridays please. Thank you to those people who were Organised Learners last week and handed their work in.
A reminder that you are meant to be spending 30 minutes each day completing your homework. Some of you are not meeting this expectation and if this continues there will be consequences. Be Organised Learners and earn yourselves positive consequences.
A reminder for our returning Year 8’s to lead by example and make the most of all of the opportunities that Maeroa has to offer and for Year 7’s to experience as much as they can while they are at Maeroa.
PE and Activate
Our days for PE are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and we will be doing Activate on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our expectation is that you will need to bring your PE uniforms every day. There will be consequences for those of you who choose to not meet this expectation.
Congratulations to those Organised Learners who always have their PE uniforms each time we have PE, your efforts are outstanding!
Homework
Homework is given out every week on a Monday and it is expected that homework is returned completed on Fridays. You are expected to complete around 30 minutes of homework every night.
