Kia Ora, Guten Tag and welcome to our blog for 2012 J
This is where you will be able to find your homework tasks, team newsletters, information about what is happening during the week and reflections on what we have been doing in class.
We are now in Week Ten. This week is our last week of term. We also have our V2 Superbox race happening on Thursday afternoon. At this stage we have 2 cars being made and we will have to have a race off to see who will be representing Rm 15 in the big race.
Just a reminder to those making cars to make sure that you check the checklist to make sure that you meet all of the scrutineering criteria – this can be found on the blog.
If you would like to have Honey the rabbit or Bud the budgie for the holidays you need to bring a note from home, signed by your parents giving you permission. You need to be able to take the animals home on Thursday afternoon and bring them back on the first Monday next term. You will be given enough food to last you for the holidays. First in, first served!
I am still very impressed to see the amount of homework that was handed in on time. Way to go my Absolutely Fabulous Organised Learners!!!! J Keep up the great work and effort.
REMINDERS: A 10 or 20 page clearfile or pay your $1, SMP forms from Navi, Owen, Aydian, Jackson, Chris, Ayden, Greyson, Jahrome, Josh, Jewel, Rylee, Taylah, Emma, Florence, Sofia and Danielle, homework is due this Friday.
A reminder for our returning Year 8’s to lead by example and make the most of all of the opportunities that Maeroa has to offer and for Year 7’s to experience as much as they can while they are at Maeroa.
PE and Activate
A reminder that we are still swimming even though the days are getting a bit colder. Our pool is solar heated and the covers are going on at the end of the day to help keep the pool warm.
You MUST have a note if you are not swimming. It is not good enough to say that you ‘forgot’ your togs as the routine hasn’t changed from day one.
Thank you to those Organised Learners who bring in a note explaining why they aren’t swimming and for how long they won’t be swimming for. This is the expectation.
Our days for PE are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. As well as swimming we will be doing Activate every day. The expectation is that you will need to bring your PE uniforms every day.
Congratulations to those Organised Learners who always have their PE uniforms each time we have PE, your efforts are outstanding!
If you repeatedly forget your PE uniform on PE days then you can expect a consequence.
Homework

Homework is given out every week on a Monday and it is expected that homework is returned completed on Fridays. You are expected to complete around 30 minutes of homework every night.
