Room 15’s homework

 Weeks 1 and 2, 2012

Your homework task for the next two weeks is to create a newspaper page where most of the information is about you J

Your newspaper page is due in on Friday 10^th February.

You will be provided with either an A2 or A3 piece of paper to present your information on. Some class time will be given in Week One only to start you off.

Your work MUST be set out like a newspaper page and needs to include the following:

v  Research the year you were born and summarise 3 or 4 things that happened that year that interest you. Write up as 3 or 4 stories – don’t forget to include interesting headings for each story.

v  A column about your family / the people  that you live with

v  A column about your interests and likes, both at school and at home

v  A column about your dislikes

v  A column about your goals / ambitions

v  A maximum of 3 photos including captions

v  3 important events that have occurred in your life

v  A column about your dream job including reasons shy

v  A Soduku / cartoon / wordfind / crossword

Don’t forget about the layout of a newspaper page when designing your page.  

Remember to use catchy headlines that are relevant for the information in your articles.

Make your newspaper interesting by using different fonts, colour and headings.
